Part 11 of "Blur-Lights In The Videodrome"

-For the record, I composed this part a few months before I went to the Primus show I was talking about earlier and realized they they did an entire cover album of Willy Wonka. Like I said before, I will always admit when something was an influence and although Primus has been a huge for me as a musician, this was a complete accident. The only reason I left it in, was because it was an honest mistake and the composition was nothing like theirs. This scene was so dark and unexpected as a kid and given the tone I was setting it fit perfectly and was the first sample to come to mind.

-There is also a part in this section where I do three hits on every piece of the kit, aside from liking the way it sounded, I did this to lock in some last minute muscle memory before charging through the last part of this solo. That's the only other part of this that has any kind of improv because I wanted it to be the most emotional section and have as little "thinking" as possible. So this was a way for me to remind myself where everything was on the kit, in case something had moved or I closed by eyes or whatever else. It was a fast meditative check before that last burst.

Literally the only issue I found in that album is that there seems to be a typo in the first track’s title, which went from “Copper Wasp” to “Cooper Wasp” between the EP and that release. 🙃 Alice M.
