-The goal with the section around 4:40 was to find a way to write a melody on a cymbal. One of my biggest priorities at this point in my career is to do things I haven't seen and so this ended up being the concept I was most proud of because I really didn't know how I was going to pull it off at first.
-I was listening to a lot of the Ministry album "In the Land of Rape and Honey" when I wrote this section and the effect used through out this part was heavily influenced by them.
-The sample at around 4 min was also used on the Night Verses album "Into the Vanishing Light." It was lifted from an old space education film that Ross and I manipulated together. I tried to keep a lot of his ethos and methods in mind when writing this solo, especially given the subject matter it was focused around.
lyrics
Can't help but say
we want you back
We all needed you
more then you know
When left this earth
did you look down
and see some
clear light?
Literally the only issue I found in that album is that there seems to be a typo in the first track’s title, which went from “Copper Wasp” to “Cooper Wasp” between the EP and that release. 🙃 Alice M.
Heavy mile-a-minute Prog Metal normally isn't my thing, but these guys shred with surprising finesse, showing a healthy appreciation for nuance and melody underneath all the muscle and testosterone. neu-mann
Night Verses ne se répète pas une seule fois pendant plus d’une heure. Chaque morceau est une nouvelle expérience sensorielle qui ne laisse aucun répit aux neurones.
