-Once I started messing with the idea of turning the snare on and off mid beat, I wanted to get the switches to feel faster and faster, almost like a super quick call and response. Although the rough draft had a much more ridiculous version, this beat sounded and felt the best.
-The rim/double kick beat is from Night Verses first release "Out Of The Sky." Aside from the intro to Copper Wasp, that beat has still been the one I get asked about the most at shows, so I re-use it whenever it makes sense. Given the time frame of this piece I got to expand on it, which kept me from thinking it was a little too recycled.
Literally the only issue I found in that album is that there seems to be a typo in the first track’s title, which went from “Copper Wasp” to “Cooper Wasp” between the EP and that release. 🙃 Alice M.
Heavy mile-a-minute Prog Metal normally isn't my thing, but these guys shred with surprising finesse, showing a healthy appreciation for nuance and melody underneath all the muscle and testosterone. neu-mann
Night Verses ne se répète pas une seule fois pendant plus d’une heure. Chaque morceau est une nouvelle expérience sensorielle qui ne laisse aucun répit aux neurones.
